I was assigned the topic of DOCUMENTATION in the exhibit project. First off I had to research and define the word itself. After researching the topic and all that it entails I had to decide in which direction I would like to take this exhibit in. I found that documentation relates to hard evidence and facts. It is a moment of truth and I wanted to travel through time while defining truth. I found that I want the exhibit to flow mimicking that of a time line. The process of documentation has been in existence since the invention of text and writing. The idea is to travel from text to tech. It would start out with the earliest forms of documentation such as ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics on stone, to the .com era and Internet browsing. I looked into and described the experience that I want the user to experience while traveling throughout the space.

This is my sketchbook that is listing words that pertain to documentation hoping to spark a sense of direction for my project. Also are different forms of documentation chronologically ordered. |

This page reflects what I need to incorporate into the space for the user pertaining to the senses. A variety of things from looking, to doing, to feeling. |

This is a more developed sketch of my ideas. One is a flow chart of the experience the individual would go through. The next reflects all of the components I want distributed throughout the exhibition. | | | | |

As I continue sketching possible floor plans to help me understand how I would like to divide my space. I resort to breaking up the space in sections. A variety of sketches...which I still do not know my desired direction for this project. At first through I wanted to have the individual travel throughout the space in a straight time line. Then at my second thought I considered this to be perhaps a bit boring, and figured I can create a more exhilarating experience through a more exciting and abstract space. It should engage and interest the view in a visually and mentally pleasing manner. Below are a few of my sketchy sketch first thoughts on the division of space and circulation.
